Mooring systems are key components of Floating offshore wind turbines (FOWTs) and of several floating units used by the oil and gas industry, guaranteeing that floaters remain on station. The systems, and its components are used in a large range of water depths, floater displacements, environmental and seabed conditions, design lives, etc.   The session provides an update on recent developments in the use of mooring components, installation methods, and monitoring and integrity management of mooring systems, as well as on modelling and management of failure modes.
