Panel

There has been an explosion in interest in Carbon Capture and Storage the past two years. A large-scale effort in carbon storage is needed to thwart global emissions. This panel will address options to move fast and pit depleted oilfields against saline aquifers to see how to best score opportunities in this fast-evolving space. Insights into what makes a quality storage opportunity from subsurface quality to surface infrastructure to commerciality will all be discussed in this session. In particular focus will be how to make the transition from megaton-scale projects currently planned to giga-ton scale projects capable of storing large-scale emissions.
