Arctic Sessions
Keynote Speaker Series
In the oil and gas sector, Russia has been more active in the Arctic than any other country in recent years, yet sanctions and the changing geo-political landscape since the invasion of Ukraine are forcing Russia to adapt and change its resource development strategy. The presentation will provide an overview of recent Russian Arctic activity, focusing on gas and LNG, both offshore and onshore, and will describe sanctions-related impacts and adaptations (such as equipment and technology import substitution efforts and the gas exports-related pivot to the East), the associated learnings and the opportunities that may exist in future.
