Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) has become central to worldwide CO2 emissions reduction efforts. It is strongly supported by recent legislation, including the increase to the CCS 45Q tax credit in the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 (IRA), as well as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021. This session will explore the dynamics of the growing US CCS industry and the close skill set adjacencies between traditional exploration and production and CCS.
